Andrea Cook Baker
Andrea Baker comes from the state of Indiana where she has been dancing for more than twenty-two years. She is thoroughly trained in all forms of dance including acrobatics. She has been teaching dance and gymnastics for more than ten years and recently has begun working with college dance teams. She has performed for several NFL Colts games, the Indianapolis 500 Motor Speedway winner’s banquet, and the International Arts Festival in Indiana.
When growing up she won multiple regional & national titles along with numerous scholarships, one being the distinguished Pacific Coast Dance Fest scholarship. She has trained with dance professionals such as Mandy Moore, Robert Schultz, Sonya Tayeh, Eddie Garcia, and Chris Dupre. In 2008, Andrea graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a degree in Nursing. She currently works as a critical care Registered Nurse.
Andrea is a proud teacher of her students who have won regional & national titles along with multiple choreography awards. Along with teaching, she enjoys performing as a dancer. In the summer of 2012 Andrea will be performing in two shows for the Olympics being held in London.
Casia has been dancing for 25 years. Her training consists of 14 years of ballet, ten years of jazz and tap, nine years of lyrical, and seven years of modern dance. Casia danced with a National Traveling Dance Company for six years and was honored to be the dance team captain for three of those years.
She has also appeared in instructional dance videos for Donna Martelli, owner of Beautiful Feet Ministries. Casia has been teaching ballet, technique and jazz for nine years. Besides teaching, Casia is also a hair stylist in Broad Ripple.
Jolene Clark Whitcombe-Guest Instructor
Jolene Clark Whitcombe has been dancing for over 15 years. She has danced competitively in groups and has worked diligently to receive several top soloist awards both regionally and nationally throughout her career. Jolene also attended several conventions on scholarships to L.A. Dance Magic, Tremaine, Shake the Floor in New York City and The Shoot in Los Angeles. Jolene also won scholarships to summer intensives at The Performing Arts Dance Center as well as The Edge in Los Angeles.
When she was 18 years old she moved to study dance at the prestigious Philadanco Performing Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From there she became a performer on Disney Cruise Line for three years. She recently danced for Motus Dance Theater at the Indy Fringe Festival.
Jolene has been heading up IDA’s recreational dance program and recital for over 4 years. In the summer of 2012 Jolene will be performing in two shows for the Olympics being held in London.
Stephanie is originally from Alexandria, Louisiana and started her dancing career at the age of 7. She was a member of Ballet Alexandria and Cenla Academy of Performing Arts for 14yrs. Through her career she has studied with teachers from all over the world and guest teachers from the Michigan Classic Ballet, the Milwaukee Ballet, the Nashville Ballet, the Dayton Ballet, and the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts. She has participated in numerous workshops including all of Ballet Alexandria’s training programs, L.A. Hip-hop programs in Hollywood, and the IV USA International Ballet School in Jackson, Mississippi.
Stephanie has had the opportunity to perform in such Ballets as the Nutcracker Sugar Plum Fairy, Gisselle,” La Bayadere, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Peter and the Wolf, The Nutcracker Doll, Reeds, Snow Flakes, Waltz of the Flowers, La Sylphide,” Swan Lake,” and Quatre.”
Upon moving the Indianapolis area she continued her teaching career with American Dance Studio in Mooresville and Speedway. She was the primary teacher for Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Hip Hop for the past 4 years.
Angie has been dancing for more than 12 years. Her training consists of ten years of ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and tumbling/acro. She is safety certified in gymnastics and has previous experience coaching level 3 gymnasts. Angela competed in and won may state and national competition titles throughout her competitve years. She has also had the priviledge of dancing for many national Non-Profit Organizations such as the Childrens Organ Transplant Association (COTA).
Angela has also participated in many dance workshops hosted by various competitions and dance organizations. She has several years of previous teaching experience in all of the above categories and has been teaching at Infinity Dance Academy since 2010.
Elaine began dance at age of nine at Cole Academy of Dance and won the prestigious award of the Recital:Outstanding Dancer of the Year. This motivated her to excel and by the age of ten was a National Dance champion. She danced at Cole’s and the Muncie Ballet Studio. Elaine taught at Suzy’s School of Dance, Cole Academy of Dance and Vicky’s Dance Studio.
Elaine has her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance from Ball State University and a minor in Theatre. After graduation, Elaine toured as a professional dancer in the Southern United States and Europe. She was a co-owner of LA Dance and was the Artistic Director of The Dance Connection, both of Fort Wayne, IN. She was Head Dance Director with Arts in the Parks of Muncie and owned Southwest Academy of Dance in Fort Wayne. She was a professional judicator for All American Showcase, Showstoppers, and Starlight Productions. She studied with Farrel Dye Dance Company, Luigi, Lou Ann Young, Lynette, and Joe Tremaine. She has choreographed for cheerleading squads and plays; such as The Wiz and The Sound of Music. She has been a guest visiting artist of Texas Tap Ensemble and Sullivan’s School of Dance. She comes to Infinity with over thirty years of teaching experience and a joy of dance.
Ashley has been dancing since the age of 4. She spent 8 years on a competitive team in Northwest Indiana, competing in jazz, hip hop, poms, tap, and contemporary. She then joined Taft Middle School Dance team for 2 years. After middle school, she moved on to dance at Crown Point High school for 2 years, bringing home a state championship. She coached for 2 years back at her old middle school and then became a member of Butler University’s Dance Team for 4 years. She has a passion for dance that has brought her back every year of her life. She can’t wait to get started with her first year at Infinity!
Kaitlyn Langford grew up and began training in Avon, Indiana before moving to Los Angeles to pursue dance. She earned a BFA in Dance Theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Throughout her time at AMDA, Kaitlyn learned the meaning of perseverance, consistency, and listening to her heart. Her most memorable experience was being cast in a show called “Change is Inevitable” that helped her process many of life’s difficulties. She is forever grateful to have had this experience that empowered her to become the woman she is today. Kaitlyn hopes to inspire young people to follow their hearts wherever it may take them.
